I’m Pete Dressler, a Senior Product Manager. Earlier in my career, I was a Product Management Instructor at General Assembly and worked as a software trainer. Those roles taught me to bridge communication: make complex topics easier to understand and turn broad needs into clear, practical next steps.
That experience shapes how I approach public service. I try not to jump to conclusions. When a proposal comes up, I want to understand its benefits, drawbacks, and the information available before deciding.
Listen, learn, explain
The Board has important responsibilities, and there is always more to learn. I would come ready to listen to students, families, educators, staff, and neighbors; ask careful questions; and explain the reasoning behind decisions as clearly as I can.
I’m not looking to change things for the sake of change. I want to help where I can be useful and support a future-ready, inclusive district through thoughtful, transparent work.
